I found this dish around 25 years ago in the attic of a very old house i had in Portsmouth, NH. I think it's probably 1880s or so, but i don't know much about these kind of ceramics. I'm hoping someone can tell me a little more about it. i'd also like to know if this kind of thing has any value today. ?? i'm amazed that there are no chips in it after kicking around in my kitchen for so many years.
Beautiful!
OK , I finally figured out what the first name was ! Kearley & Tonge were one of the first International markets in London. Here is is a link to their history. Maybe they had a restaurant attached or actually had china made with their name for retail sale. Still working on it!

Actually began as tea merchants, but I can’t find any info on their retail establishments, other than they expanded into a bakery, but no details on pottery. I’m guessing it was probably made for them by another English company. There is another faint mark above there name, looks like the top of a crown and an embossed letter below? Can you make any of it out? I think this beautiful piece is a rare find!
thank you maryh1956. it's especially rare because it's been in my kitchen for over 25 yrs and it's not even chipped!
i think we can safely say that this was made between 1878 and 1895 - when the firm grew from 1 location to over 200 retail stores throughout great britain.
