This is one more of Carlos's strangest vases.
This ceramic vase reminds a lot of the avant-garde sculptures and paintings by Jean Arp, Alberto Sánchez and Henry Moore...
It also reminds of some stone-plant, or a cactus.
Just like I commented when posting the Italian pottery vases in our collection, it's amazing how poters got so inspired by avant-garde art in the 1950s. I can't really explain why. Maybe that's because there were actual artists working in pottery workshops, maybe because in those years Art and artistic tendencies were better communicated than it is nowadays. perhaps it all is a coincidence (but i don't think so, I am sure these guys knew what they were doing).
Thanks for your love, GTMOOM!!!
