I purchased this piece a few years ago at a city wide garage sale. It is an amazing bronze that came with a story claiming "it came out of a prominent New York City Estate..." I honestly know nothing about her age or the artist. I have searched the piece from top to bottom and can find no signature, sadly. I can say, that she was originally attached to something at one time, as there are "eyelets" on her underside of the base designed for fastening. She is a large piece standing just over 18 inches tall and 10 inches wide. This is a very heavy piece, even with a hollow base.

People often ask me what led me to purchase the various items in my home. The truth is because I found an item so beautiful or interesting that I wanted it to be part of my life. The expression, angles, story, and movement of the piece are amazing to me. If any of you have any information you might add about this piece, I'd love to hear it.

Sometimes the unknown mysteries are the most beautiful ones. Let her stay with you even if she remains anonymus. I so understand what you mean when you describe how the different items/pieces find you :-).
