I'm in the process of clearing my late mums house, and came across this vase, which I think is rather pretty.
I can't decipher the mark on its base, can anyone enlighten me please.

The first part is "Altenahr-Bauern......" - I can't read the rest

      Ah, many thanks aghcollect.
It sounds German, would you know anything about it?

Altenahr is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. - Bauren means "farmer" but the only word I could find similar was "Bauernmalerei" which basically translates to "peasant art", "decorative painting" or probably "folkart" - if you google image Bauernmalerei a lot of German decorative floral patterns come up. - I could not find any porcelain makers in Altenahr

Thank you again, you've been a big help.
      I'm totally intrigued now.
I know it belonged to my gran, prior to my mum having it, so it's fairly old.

I'm not sure how old it is racer4four, infact, even with the help from aghcollect, I've still not found anything similar online.
I never used to like it but I must admit the more I look at it, it's really growing on me
