I am hoping to find out more concerning the maker and use of this pedestal bowl. I seen something similar described at Cased glass bowl with Gold Dore bronze feet and Applied gold trim and marked Victorian. This particular bowl measures 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 7/8. It has a Victorian scene with a rough pontil.

      Might be a salt?

A bit too large for egg cup or salt. I will put in a salt for size comparison. I have been on the computer all day looking up what might be similar. I have come up with possibly vanity dish. But, I feel it is closer to a finger bowl still.

I added a photo for comparison of two salts and a tea cup.
