The 10-cent Jefferson Memorial regular postage stamp was issued in Washington, DC, on December 14, 1973. The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Washington, DC, is a neoclassical building dedicated to the third president of the United States in 1943. Maintained by the National Park Service, the building hosts annual Memorial events, Easter Sunrise Services, and the Cherry Blossom Festival. The stamp was issued in a sheet of 100 and coils of 100, 500, and 3,000, and a book of ten and forty. The stamp was designed by Dean Ellis and printed on the rotary press.
