Two shapes were offered for 8 oz nursing bottles, but only a narrow neck was available for the 4 oz size at this time. The text implies that the 4 oz was a Three nursing bottle shapes offered before 1925new product, but this is really its re-introduction. When Pyrex baby bottles first appeared in 1922, a much greater selection of shapes & sizes was offered. Along with narrow necks and wide mouths, there was a third type which was called flat. It also had a narrow neck and the body was a flat tear-drop shape. All three shapes were made in 6 oz, 8 oz, and 10 oz sizes, and the narrow neck appeared in a 4 oz size too, a total of ten different bottles. By 1925, the product line had been reduced to just two 8 oz bottles with a choice of wide mouth or narrow neck. At some point, 4 oz wide mouth bottles were manufactured too.
