These 13¢ denomination stamps picture John F. Kennedy (1917-63). The 35th President of the United States, Kennedy was a member of a prominent family whose wealth helped fuel a political dynasty. However Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, in 1963. He had a strong vision for the Peace Corps, Civil Rights, and the American Space program which lives on.
The 13 cent issue of these 1967 JFK Stamps were first issued in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29 of that year. The issue was designed by Stevan Dohanos, modeled after a photograph by Jacques Loew in the book The Kennedy Years. The 13-cent Kennedy stamp paid the rates for both foreign surface letters and air postcards. Kennedy, like all other presidents up to and including President L.B. Johnson, was honored on the AMERIPEX commemorative issue of 1986.
Are all these stamps some thing you couldn't sell in your last yard sale? It's time to sweep CW's floor.
LoL bb2. No, I just want to share the stamps that are inside the cigar box I bought a few weeks back that was filled with stamps. What do think of them so for?

No problem Tom. I agree with aghcollect. Post away and don't be discouraged by anyone's ill mannered comments. Sometimes it's easier to say than to do but keep kicking, Man. Informative postings like this are appreciated by many and a are great addition to CW in my opinion.
Hi charcoal, I'll be posting each & every one of the stamps I got in the cigar box...I will be doing this for each and every CW member to enjoy. I got lucky to find these, and you all on this site are just beautiful true & thru. It's the least I can do, is share what each and everyone of us on this site share...the insatiable appetite to collect. Many many thanks for your support & words of encouragement! =)
