I have a think for natural wood. American walnut is one of those woods. While hitting the thrift shops last week, this beautiful solid walnut pedestal/cake stand is mine for $1.50 and even has a slight chip on the rim. That greatly depicts my character. LoL =^"
That is AWESOME
Aloha Aimers, oh you are absolutely correct & Thank you. After seeing everyone's cake stands/pedestals posted last Summer/Fall, I've been on a hunt for mine...wood is definitely a part of me! =^)

I agree 100% about walnut. I have a case of black walnut end cuts from an Ethan Allen factory that I glue up with Maple and turn into Christmas tree ornaments and vases. The grain and color is really a sight. I love this piece even with the chip. Buff the chip with a pad on a dremel and you will hardly notice it.
Thank you & many many thanks for the dremel tip fhrjr2, always appreciate info! =)
