This is a firkin, sugar bucket, apple bucket, barrel bucket, Quaker Pail, Amish bucket.....etc. These are just cool and I seem to snatch them up when ever I happen to find them. The design is very simple but functions ingeniously. It's water tight and functions flawlessly, well as for sitting on a shelf that is. LoL. Anyhow, when I got this there is a partial remain of a tobacco tax stamp that made me want this for a collection.
