    ATTWOOD
    (155 items)

I have had this pair a while but have no history. The 1st one has a signature under. It had one side missing (like the arm)you can see the glue where the flat piece has been detached :(
They are about 6 inches high each and are beautiful.
the 2nd one has no signature and is made of 3 different types of wood.
Any help identifying the 1st one greatly appreciated.
I am off to Japan on sunday.going cruising Asia so lots of goodies expected to bring back.
    Cheers All

The hanko stamp is Toa Sekiguchi a very well know Kokeshi artist born in 1942 and started creating dolls around 1966. He won many prizes including the coveted Prime Minister's award. This looks like one of his older Kokeshi, very pretty. I'm not sure who the 2nd Kokeshi is by as there is no signature and it doesn't look familiar, it's also quite beautiful.
