      Hello scamman. Welcome to C.W.! Thank you for sharing your family heirloom.

      It is a New Haven "Tyndall" from circa 1895. Described in my reference material as an "Enameled Wood Case Mantel Clock" fitted with an 8-day Time and Strike Mechanism.

      It originally retailed for somewhere around $13.50 which was a fair amount of money at the time.

      As you can see, they came in a wide variety of simulated finishes ranging including Oak, Mahogany and Malachite cases either painted with scenery or decorated with applied cast ormolu.

      You're welcome "scamman". I would guess somewhere between $100-$200. Try a search on "New Haven Tyndall" and you'll probably come up with some internet hits. By the way, this clock is enameled Iron and not Wood, is that right?

      Yes, that is correct Bruce. Only the bottom appears to be wood.
