So far i have found out about this company started out making clock cases for a clock maker and then went in business for himself later in life. The year its built is unknown do to the tag almost gone, but i have read that its age is figured by the company name. This is located at the inside bottom and also on the dong. It says manufactured by the E. Ingraham CO. And the name can give you the year span this one was made if I got the right info. Elias Ingraham & Company (1857?1860) but the Elias is put on there as a E. Ingraham & Company from Bristol Conn. Would like to try to find out the worth and if this is the right year that i came up with. I don't know what type of wood that it's made with but its a very dark like walnut or mahogany. Everything seems to work on it the dong and the rest of it. I wound it a little to see if it work and ;it did a great job and of coarse it also has the Key to wind it up
my first Ingraham clock was bought yesterday, made in 1880, Bristol, Ct. gingerbread type, mantel clock.
