I have a Cincinnati Gun Club Company capital stock certificate dated 1898 and a Metropole cafe company capital stock certificate dated 1912 and then a Conejos rainbow trout lodges inc capital stock certificate not dated. I can email more specifics. Just wondering what these are!

They are exactly that, old stock certificates. You bought stock in a company and were issued a certificate for the number of shares, this is how they raise capitol. It would be very easy to go on line and find out about the companies and the status of the certificates. They probably just have a collector value, there are a lot of stock certificate collectors out there.

Thanks guys. I got this out of old boxes of my grandparents. One is obviously from my great great grandpa from 1898 so I had no clue and I am not a collector so I have no clue about old stocks. And I tried googling but didn't see the names but since they're so old it's possible the companies names have changed.
