this is a vintage Acorn/ Oak machine from the 50's with original wheel and glass globe,

brand new: conspicuously new and unused; also : recently introduced

I don't think it's trying to be something from the past. More like a resto-deco art piece, which as such is open to interpretation by the observer. If it was full of red and white gumballs, I'd pump a penny into it! ;0)
