MINT Vintage Schildkraut Petitpoint and Mother of Pearl Square Compact with Lipstick Case

Here is a beautiful Mint Art Deco compact with petit point styled by Schildkraut in the 1940's. It measures 2 ¾" long by 2 3/8" wide and has the original paper label on the mirror which reads Genuine Handmade Petit Point by Schildkraut. Approximate 5400 stitches. 1650 p/inch. It took 1 1/4 days by a skilled needleworker to embroider the lid and lipstick case. According to original hand written insert card. It has the original unused powder puff pad but no powder inside the powder lid. The top of the compact has a spectacular floral petite point design against a black and cream colored background outlinned in hand laid mother of pearl with bottom being brushed brass. The inside of this compact is in excellent condition clean and never used. It was stored carefully for many years with no dents or discoloration of any kind. Original cloth and plastic carrying case as well. The Lipstick case measures 2.25 in length and is also in Mint condition. This is A Gorgeous set that my Grandmother kept in her drawer in fear of scratching it.
