Well, about 60 years ago I was with my nana when she bought this porcelain jardiniere at a second hand auction. It is 220mm high. At the neck it is 130mm, and at it's widest point 240mm. The decoration is all embossed, however the gold is not in perfect condition any longer. The background is etched over it's entire surface, whilst all significant decoration is embossed with gold detailing. I cannot find anything like it anywhere. The mark is difficult to decipher but there is a 333 near the impressed mark( I took a rubbing of the mark)......I'd be so grateful if anyone could help me identify it....PS. my nana usually had a very good eye for antiques! Thanks for any info. Cheers Helen
Hello and welcome to CW...could you please post a photo of the base, as with anything it always helps those in know to identify even if nothing on it, sorry! I can't help but I am sure someone will come along and be able to help you...it's a lovely thing!.....:-)
Thanks for replying Inky...I will repost the photo of the base........Glazed base with unglazed foot......but the impressed mark is very hard to identify...that's why I took the rubbing..........there is a small x in the middle and a small v near the mark...both in iron red........can't find the mark anywhere.....it's very frustrating...thanks again...cheers
