This 8-1/2" inch tall vase is in an unusual molded veining pattern (it was misidentified by the seller as Loetz Crete Chine). I first came across this pattern in a small dark red (a very dark Pepita-like decor, actually) vase that I posted on CW a few months ago. I have also seen an example of this vase in the same shape as mine, with the same molded pattern, but also in a Pepita-like decor. (One example on CW - it is the 4th vase from the left: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/57934-rindskopf--collect-by-shape-or-decor )
This is the first iridescent green version I have found. Based on more recent research into this molded decor by Craig Orkney, I now believe that this decor was produced by Kralik, and not Rindskopf. It has been shown that Kralik also produced a Pepita-like decor, and there are also quite a few examples of Art Deco-era spatter glass that use this molded pattern (and that have no known association with Rindskopf production.)
oooooooooooooooh!...:-)
Thanks inky! :)
Simply beautiful.
sklo42, thanks so much!
