    This is one of those purchases where I should have listened to that little voice that says "You know this had a lid so why do you want this ???" Well I was hoping it was just a wooden lid since it's a biscuit jar, but.... nooooo! A quick search online confirmed my fears. It had to be a wonderful domed octagonal lid with the pattern on it's panels topped with a beautiful finial. I paid way too much for it too. Oh well, maybe just the lid will turn up one day. -Mike-
