A *very* naughty dealer fished this out of a back room when I recently bought a fluted Kralik martelé pearl. I was very wary as an unknown shape BUT it was too interesting to pass up. The vase has been made in two parts joined by the clear casing glass. The base is hollow, as you can see, and has a rim of iridescence lacking. Hm. ???
It measures 9.7cm base, 12.5cm bowl diameter, 6.5cm to base of bowl, 11cm bowl to rim, of which 4cm is rim. The rim diameter is 8.2cm.
The danger for me in starting out is not passing these offers up when they might be too good to be true.
I am disappointed not to find the shape in Craig's website... But...
Wow piece Ian. Gorgeous!!
I am not getting too heady until Craig, Alfredo, Leah &c comment!! ;-)
Awww you should enjoy it for its beauty no matter what ;) is really is a stunning piece.
Ian, it is Kralik. Here is an example of one with the foot, and without. The vases with the feet are seen less often - yours is very pretty!

I have never seen it before either and would have felt the same way as you...but! I think! I would be feeling quietly confident....it's a beauty....:-)
