Here I Have A Vintage Tea Ball Steeper.
I believe its an aluminum Tea Strainer.
They come with a hook & chain to hang on your Tea Cup or Tea Pot. Some come with a decorative weight. I have another one with candy cane weight.
Infuser Ball comes apart to hold loose, or bagged Tea.
    Measures approximately...
    3 inches tall
    not including hook & chain.

Very good Vintage condition, small dings & patina. But I have never been unable to open it.
So although it could also be used to securely hold herbs & spices for flavoring soups, stews & beverages. It sits on display for now.

Wow...it reminds me the one that the old women in the movie "Rosemary's baby" used to keep the tannis root inside...that was a little bit different looking, but the purpose was the same :)

Thank you VF :) I've never seen one shaped like a teapot. I bet it's very pretty.
