Pre-Victorian.
This was printed the year Queen Victoria was born. Decades before she became Queen of England. I had the York Minster print re-mounted ten years ago by an established framing shop near Bootham Bar in Gillygate (around the corner from the Minster). Its dated on the front 1819, and the date confirmed on the back in the more suitable frame. It is hand colored by an Artist and the details of authorship can be seen. Its will be `two Centuries` old in 5 years. This item I would not sell; anyone would have to break both my fingers to get it from me. This actual image/print is probably quite rare, because the winter damp in European homes, and over 150+ years of European wars will have ruined most distributed copies of the edition over that period.
Fabulous print of the Minster.
