I have done tons of research on this stunning piece of history and still Nothing! It's been in our family and passed down from my grandmothers, mother, mother. Hoping someone out there can help. Also, on the bottom "Made in Italy" is etched in the marble or whatever stone this is. Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks, Angie
