Here is a typical Machine Age piece: a 'brickwork' chrome and blue enamel necklace by German designer Jakob Bengel and dating from the early 1930's (marked 'Garantie' on the clasp). I got it on a flea market for a few euros and I can't stop admiring it from the day I got it! I have two other necklaces by Bengel, but this one is the most amazing. It is also in great condition for its age. So classy!
A real STUNNER!
Chunky!
Thanks for 'loving' and for your comment! ;) Indeed, it is chunky. To give you some idea, the pendant alone measures 3".
Wow! Very Bauhaus!
Famous french designer Andrée Putman had a Bengel necklace, which she wore all time! La grande classe!
Thought of it as soon I saw your's.
Thanks for your very kind comments! I was on vacation and I've just read them. André Putman is a great source of inspiration to me, thanks for mentioning her... Yes, Val, I love wearing this necklace! Makes me feel special. ;)
Stunning necklace! All bengel jewelry look so modern still. That's style!
