WW-2 framed photo shrapnel Aleutian Is. Repost but now framed with information

Hello, Dad in WW-2, First photo is Japanese shrapnel that hit and killed some US soldiers, my father (second photo), said he was sure we would win the war, his first combat and US lost little over 300 men and Japanese lost over 3000 soldiers. He then went to Leyte Philippines and was wounded. Third photo is ROTC University of Nebraska. WHEN I was 5-6 yrs. old I was playing with this, using like a sword!, and mom yelled at me and I dropped it on my foot and it cut me pretty bad! Mom hid it away and did not see until I was grown. I told her "You yelled at me! I should have got a purple heart as I was wounded!" She said to me! "You are lucky you did not get a purple Butt!" haha aren't moms great!!
