in 1976, kodak introduced its instant picture camera system in reply to polaroids new sx 70, introduced in 1974.
polaroid sued kodak for infringement of copywright as kodak had copied its system of mess free instant pictures.
as a result ,in 1986 kodak withdrew from the instant picture system and recalled all its instant cameras for a customer refund.
previously purchased may 1983-second hand for £50
sent back to kodak in august 1986 for a £40 refund.
the ek 8 was the top of the range of the kodak instant picture system ,
produced from 1977 to 1979.
last photo, me at work in 1983 at xmas-then aged 36, taken by workmate with my ek8 camera.
re-purchased in march 2014 on ebay.
