This is a Coca Cola bottle return carrier / Patented in 1944 / believe it is masonite with the original rope strap intact / small back piece stamped in white ink "Press Here to Release Bottles" and U.S. Patent No. 2339598
Measures 8" by 5 3/4" / no cracks - really nice condition
