This is an embroidered compact comb and mirror - size 4 1/4" X 2" closed
Not sure what the outer black material is but it is a nylon type thread and the embroidery is all colored thread. The interior is a sateen red thread.
The frame around the black is brass and the top portion in picture 2 is a mirror. The comb is an orangy clear plastic and is embossed W.Germany
on the upper left side corner. - Circa late 50's or 1960's
