I always wanted a metronome when I was learning piano years ago. They are a bit on the expensive side, around a hundred dollars or more new today. Found this one at "Volunteer's of America" thrift store yesterday for twenty dollars in it's original box. The case is mahogany with a key wound mechanism. It's made by Wittner and marked "made in West Germany" on the bottom. This is suppose to be one of the best you can buy and are still made today. I found their website and this is their base model 801 M with no bell. It is used and not very old (1990's) judging from the plastic bottom and the construction is a bit flimsy. It has a very nice rhythmic tick -tock though. Now all my mistakes will at least be in time. -Mike-
