I was given this plate by my Nona, I would like to know more about it if possible. It was stored down in her basement with a load of other things. It is near 11" diameter. Can anyone help with any information please? Thank you.
This is an EAPG pattern called 'Intaglio Morning Glory' by Dugan Glass Co. c.1906. This is known as Goofus Glass, which is glass that is cold painted and typically most of the paint color is gold. Googus Glass finishes are very easily damaged because the glass was simply painted and not further heat treated to protect the finish due to the types of paints used. So be very careful when cleaning.
