My father just bought this Coke machine and we are trying to get some info about it because he would like to sell it but we do not know what they are worth. The coin mechanism needs repaired, a paint job but it does still get cold.
This looks like a pretty tall machine. Tall, bulky machines aren't that desirable to collectors. Not sure what make this is. Try soda-machines.com for more info.
think i have this exact machine and would like to know value also. mine is all original and works well, nice and cold. never been restored, it is a dime changer. would like to sell if possible, but have clue of what to ask !
william contact me im interested. michaelgiglio1@yahoo.com
That Coke machine is a C-51 made by Cavalier around 1950. All red is the early model. Later they were painted red and white. Where you put the Cokes in is call the "ammo belt" and yours looks like it has all the parts. The "ammo belt" is very desireable because some are missing in the C-51 and brings high dollar itself on Ebay. In the condition your's looks like it is in I would say it could be worth around $500.00-$900.00.
if you would to part out the machine i need a ammo belt
I have one of these, bought in Chattanoga?? in 1990 for $200. I boxed it up and shipped it back to the UK, very rare here. I fully restored it before the internet made sourcing parts easier and is now in mint condition. I wouldn't sell, always reminds me of a great 6 months touring the States
i found a complete ammo belt a lock & cam for $300.00 including shipping a bargain recently a Cavalier C51 that was painted pepsi blue and in worse condition than yours sold for $1800.00 on ebay +$400.00 for shipping
pick one up just like yours 39years ago sold it and just got it back today same one
