I agree with Phil it is a newer reproduction and newer shades . You need to post a clearer photo that would help :-) Very pretty lamp . I do love it even as a repro !

Thank you Phil and Manikin for responding to my post. I will add more pictures this afternoon. As I said my friend gave it to me she told me she purchase this lamp 20 years ago in a antique shop and she paid $600 for it. I dont know much about lamps but I love old lamps and that is why she gave me this as a gift but I want to know more about it. Therefore I will post some more pictures also of the wiring and maybe you can see it better. Also I have oe more lamp that I would like to know more about it , I will add that one here also. Thank you again.

Take a photo of bottom of lamp also and cord plug . I bought a lamp with same shades about 15-20 years ago . So newer means 1980 to 1990 to me :-) will await more photo's

@ Phil & Mani: recent reproduction of what??? it helps to understand your statements if you could provide online reference.

I've seen and purchased reproduction lamps in antique venues and lamp stores; so to say it was purchased as an antique store is not to insure an antique, and most do market as reproduction of a previous style.

Tall cakes it merely means it is not a original antique lamp so I will clarify. From new photo's It is a newer lamp without doubt and appears to made of a resin . It is quite beautiful and as Tall cakes points out it maybe a original sculpt for a new line of lamps not reproduced from a antique sculpt . And buying at antique shop has caused many to believe the seller and are misled . Sad but you really have to go to a reputable dealer and bring along your knowledge or research if you have to before you buy. I can't tell you how many people I know that have bought something at a shop and were told it was antique and it was not . Enjoy your lamp :-)

Here is one close to yours they are calling antique I can't tell by photo but appears to be resin also not antique to my eyes

Manikin, Thank you for the information. I love this lamp no matter if its not antique And yes you are right not everything is antique even if we buy them at an antique store :). I did add another lamp maybe you know something about that one also. Thank you :)

Mani, that was my first thought as well; a reproduction of an older style as many of the details just look like recent interpretations. It's just the way I read your post seemed like maybe you had a specific reproduction in mind.

Tall cakes I should not use word reproduction loosely as it implies there was another made at one time and they copied it .I am not sure what word is correct to use to imply it was likely copied but not sure from what or that it is a old idea made new :-) did that make sense lol I think I lost myself in that explanation ?

I think everyone here is right on the mark. A 1990's reproduction of a 1890's Victorian Newel Post Lamp. Still a nice decorative piece.
