Damn, I thought I was cured from the jewelry fever but seeing all those great posts here on CW lately made me want to post some more.
This pendant is nothing special, its gold plated and the stone is aquamarine or aquamarine glass. Its marked AM. DBL A*D. The 'AM. DBL' means american doublé. I believe 'A*D' stands for 'auch' and 'doublé'. This was to demonstrate that the item was a patented mark. It was made in the sixties. It has a bit of a modernist feeling to it, but not just yet.
I hope you like it.
@valentino: my boyfriend didn't like this at all. He thinks its not enough stylised. And maybe he is right, but I like all things aquamarine so I bought it anyway.
Thanks nutsabotas, valentino, aghcollect and Moonstonelover for appreciating my pendant.
You make me feel welcome ;-)
Cute pendant, glad to "see" you back.
I know the feeling about getting all worked up over the jewelry posts. I'm there with you.
Newtimes, there is no cure :-)
Elisabethan, I know but one can only try ;-)
Thanks Agram! I will be posting some more jewelry soon :-)
Just nothing high quality
Thanks Elisabethan, AmberRose, pop52, sarahoff, Belltown, freiheit, racer4, vetraio, DrFluffy and antiquerose for loving my pendant!
Remember's me of an eye! Could it bring you good luck for your finds!
Hey there,
I have an eerily similar pendant - also with an aquamarine colored stone and with similar arched elements, and with the same AM.DBL A stamp.
Do you remember how much you paid for the pendant? I have always been wondering how much mine might be worth. I've never been given info on it, it was just passed on to me.
Have a nice day,
Silvia
Hi there, I also just purchased a similar pendant, the difference is mine harkens back to the art nouveau style of the late 19th century still with a familiar blue aquamarine, whilst lacking the minimalism of your two examples it does have a charm of its own. Have fun hunting all. Rick
