I think that this toolbox belonged to a metalworker - or tinsmith. it's constructed w/ many rivets and the copper handle is amazing. i think that it was made w/ a copper triangle and a crimper and then beautifully soldered together. the patina on it is really great. i think this is my new favorite toolbox!
i saw a photo of another toolbox exactly like this one - down to the copper handle, so this isn't a one-of-a-kind piece. so now i'm wondering WHAT this is from. any ideas? regardless, it's a great little box!
me too!
do any of the box collectors out there have any info or insight into this toolbox? i am certain that there is something to learn about this great box...
Really love that handle
thank you Aimathena.
