It's really a very unique piece and after a good polishing (needs one) it's
quite spectacular the side grapes are a chore to clean
Is that a walking lion mark? Dave
Can you also get a closeup on the marks? Thanks

English Silver walking lion weith anchor. "A" is for 1900. Its a start I will see what I can find. Dave
Shafer Co. of Washington, DC from that time period. He sold silver from 1880-1938 period.
Hard to tell without a picture of the marks, but I think your "A" is really a gothic "G" making this a mixed metal piece by Gorham. If so, "O" would be the date letter for 1882. The name Schafer is simply a monogram, and not a silversmith.
Beautiful piece!
