Identification help needed, she is about 23" long has real hair and a crying cylinder. She is a composite and cloth with sleeping eyes and a open mouth with 4 inset teeth. Her legs are joined to cloth at the thigh and her arms swivel at the shoulders. I can only find this doll with formed hair not real and I can't figure out her age. If someone knows about her or where I might find additional I would be very grateful.
    Thank you Kathy

Your doll is a Effanbee Luvums mark but head should be marked different name she dates about 1930. They used the shoulder plate like yours on other dolls other than just Luvums . They sometimes marked head with dolls name like Mary ect. Some did not have a name impressed in head like this one . Luvums was in itself a baby so this is not a Luvums head just the shoulder plate being used on her . Look like her clothes are original also .

Kathy when I blow up your photo I can tell head was put on luvums shoulder plate it is a slight different color and also she seems to have been restored , does she have a crazing on body ? If she has been altered that is possible at a later date .
