This item is signed. I have yet to identify for sure the signature.
The base is extremely heavy and the glass is designed to rotate around the base if you get it rolling. Base is machined to the angle of the glass sculpture. Let me know what you think.
thanks for the comments saying maybe Steuben. I picked it up and looked again and I quess that is a possible. Although the length of the signature after what may be the b seems to long for the single letter e.
I originally thought that the S may be a initial for a first name and the rest was the surname.
Because of the interned bubble, i was leaning towards Timo Sarpaneva.
I am unfamiliar with Steuben for the most part and because of the weight and the very very heavy base and playful nature of this piece, It seems to be more of a one off kind of art work.
It does look like Stuben.
