    This is an unusual piece because it is not common to find the metal lid with handle on a piece like this. the biscuit/cookie/pickle jars are usually much bigger. The opening on this is not very big about 1 3/4" wide. My guess is that it was a trinket jar or maybe had sugar cubes in it???
    Measures 5" wide and 4 3/4" tall.
