I love the way the larger 30cm leans like the campanile at Pisa. They are both variations on 3 ribs - thick, thin, thick - spaced around the body to give 4 feet. The smaller is hallmarked London 1921 (the gothic "f" looking like a "t" on first inspection).
As always, I hope Kralik, but am open to any information anyone can offer.

Wow, so this could be the start of a large collection, then?! (I think I will stop here on these). Thanks for the information - I am just waiting for my West Virginia monographs. I think they will be interesting.

Dear Ian, have you looked them under black light? I have a pair and they are vaseline glass, I thought to be french glass and perhaps the one with the rim is a broken one that has been repaired. I am no a professional on this but I am trying to feed your curiosity.

Thank you - I *think* Czech/Bohemian - but I am always finding out new things so thanks for your thoughts. A company called Kralik produced pink "carnival glass" with a slight iridescence, and David Loebl imported Czech glass - there's nothing saying they might not have imported from other countries.
I think that the silver rim dates from soon after the second was produced and is likely to have been intentional, rather than to cover up a flaw.
I am about to post another two ribbed - so let me know what you think. (That goes for everyone). The new posting will include a vase that has either had its silver rim removed or never had one fitted where intended.
