Seems like someone donated a few pieces of Tonala Mexican pottery to Salvation Army this weekend. I found these birds on the shelf today. There was a third figure but the beak had been broken off and glued so I passed. These two, a dove and a duck seem to match the armadillo bowl which I already have. They are not signed by an artist like the bowl, but they are marked Mexico under their tails. The one still has the plug from the air hole inside rattling around. It's amazing that I found these right after racer4four posted a pair to show me when I posted the the bowl. So now I have the beginnings of a collection. -Mike-

Isn't it weird how that happens Mike?
These are just lovely and look great with your armadillo bowl. They are so tactile too! The Christie/ Mike team scores again!

I know, I thought ..... "Wait till Karen sees these when I post them" after I saw them on the shelf....lol. What a coincidence ! They were marked five and I got them for two dollars each. Can't wait to see what treasures Christie has for me today ! :)
