This little fellow bears the marks for Meyle & Mayer.
Stamped "Depose", "sterling" and the Mayle & Mayer maker's mark of a dragonfly, 22cm steel pin, 4cm large, 3cm long.
Had it for a loong time without notifying the dragonfly stamp at the very bottom of the abdomen
When I bought it, there was a second one, pin attach broken, which I
don't bought ... Bitterly regret, Sight...
Love the Bee :-)

Holly ;-)
This is a lovely, lovely bee. You can see the fantastic quality from underneath. I would so happily have him in my collection. He's also pictured in the Jugendstil-Schmuck book in a fantastic red, blue & yellow combo. Try not to feel too bad about overlooking the other one, he's a real treasure.
Thanks Holly, Toracat, Sean and Jewels1900 for your kind comments, and thanks all for your loves!
BzzBzz ;-)

Don't you think it is a shame to clean as much an remove all the patina?

You're right!!! Dipping & rhodium plating on silver diamond 19th jewels! Grrr.
