Hello,
This is just a little 2 & 1.4 fitter obverse painted on chipped ice, or glue chip shade. It is American made and I have had these a few times and also the ten inch fitter bowl to match for a pan fixture with center bowl and satellite shades. I thought I would put it up because my last post with the Painted shades reminded me of this pair and I have always wondered if they were made by Jefferson. I am not very learned when it comes to painted lamps and I know that Johann among others may be able to offer some helpful information.
Thank you as always for taking the time to view my humble offerings.
Hi Lisa, I actually have two of these shades myself. I always assumed they were Pittsburgh, but Jefferson would be a good guess too. I had them on a couple little Handel mantle lamps and they looked good. They would also look good on a vintage candle lamp.
Thank you so much Johann, I don't have much information on Pittsburg. I will have to see what I can find. You are the knowledgeable one when it comes to this type of glass. You really know your lamps. I appreciate your generosity.
Thank you Inky, Vetraio, moonstone, Leah, Phil, geo26e & aghcollect too.
Sincerely,
Lisa
Look at these. https://www.etsy.com/listing/77726962/pair-of-early-century-obverse-painted?
Didn't she capture the surface texture beautifully ? Pittsburg too.
They really are sweet. I like Etsy one never knows what you find there. City Lights sells on there some times. Great for beads needed to repair shade fringe.
Thank you for pointing out the shades.
Sincerely,
Lisa
