Lisa-light…
(30 items)
Egyptian Revival gas sconce shown here with period shade. Shade is a 2& 5/8ths fitter shade used first with gas fixtures in the mid 1800s before 5 inch fitter shades started in the 1880s. These goldfish bowl shaped shades are very sought after, I have always preferred the cut shades that are threaded. I will post some of those later.
The six light is my current favourite. I have not yet determined the maker of this fixture, it was made in America circa 1880. It is red brass and very pink, the five inch fitter crown top shades are deeply etched botanicals. Roses no less. :O) To find a set of six is difficult with these and I consider myself very lucky to have found them. They are of course not all the exactly same size and vary a bit in height and even in width. But then don't we all after 130 plus years. ;o)
I hope you enjoy these. If so I will post some more.
Sincerely,
Lisa

Thank you TooLate2. I appreciate your time. Glad you enjoyed seeing them.
Thank Phil. does it cover both the early and the later Egypt revivals? or is it solely the Period after the discovery of Tut? I will look for it later this week. Thank you for the heads up.
Sincerely,
lisa

Dear Phil,
Thank you. I will start searching for a copy. I prefer to add books to my library than take them out for a week or two. That way when I can read I just have to go into the library and grab the book I have been waiting to get at. ;o)
Sincerely,
Lisa
