The blue enamelled flowers seem to fall from the neck of this cased pink spatter vase. I would like to say Welz but is it just "Art Deco export"? 27cm high.

Just! You mean Its gorgeous Art Deco export! :) when you say Art Deco may i ask what date you would give it. I ask because i have a 'pedestal' vase, not too dissimilar, described on 20thglass.com as c.1880s.

This is the vase i was referring to, listed as c.1890s (sorry not '80s)
I just was wondering how you know your vase is from the Art Deco era?
Or whether you think mine is 1890s or possibly later?

I will defer to the knowledge of others on a date for both, Fran. I suspect that both shapes, spatters and enamelling were in production from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.
I am just posting a group of yellows which I think is late-end of the (perhaps) 50 year window these were produced.
A correlate would be something like Whitefriars glass who were continually developing new lines with fashion but who produced a few favourite items for decades eg. from the 1950s to closing in the 1980s.

Ahh good point. Thanks Ian. They're lovely. I like the decoration on them. The blue on here looks great with the pink.
