Early 20th century plique-a-jour enamel butterfly brooch. An unusual one, the colourful plique panels have a white backing, possibly to enhance the colours to the front, but still rather transluscent.
Cultured pearl I just stuck on with some white tack until I find something better for a more permanent solution.
There is a maker's mark of JD within a partial circle surround, the circle has a star to the top. This is extremely annoying as I KNOW I know this maker but for the life of me I cannot think what it is.
Help is appreciated.
