Picked up this vase at GW this afternoon . It 13" tall and 6" wide in the middle. They had it marked "as is....small chip in rim," scrawled in black marker across the bottom along with the price sticker. It looks like it's been around a while. Lots of wear on the gilding on the rim and some of the pencil thin lines around the neck are almost gone. It is solid white glass, but the outer surface feels satin to the touch. The flowers are all done in a silver grey color with gold accents. The pendants around the top make it look very Victorian. I'm not sure if it's that old or not. I was thinking it could be "opaline" or Bristol glass. -Mike-
Thanks nutsabotas6 :) .... at first I thought it was a piece Norleans which is Japanese glass. I'm pretty sure this isn't though.
Elegant glass Mike!
Has a very English feel to it but I would have no idea where it's from. Enjoy!
Thank you Karen :)...It is quite nice. Probably had a foil or paper label at one time.
BEAUTIFUL!!
