This chair was getting thrown out. I saved it from the trash. I have found out that its was orig. made in Conn. during the 1700's. Its made of oak with spiral slats. Head rest hand carved along with the front of the bench area. I did find out that these slats were turned on a lathe that has not existed in 250 years. Seat is worn out with band springs set with horse hair and straw for padding. I was told its from the Colonial or Jacobean Era: 1620 – 1720. "Chair is currently being restored." to orig. condition
There are "NO" markings or names on the chair
Any information would be helpful
Thanks
