Fun Grand Rapids Michigan Chair & Table Co. Petite Secretary and Chair

According to my husband I am not allowed to buy furniture at sales. However he is never with me, so I sneak things in the house while he is at work. I also have a few accomplices to help me.( thanks to my mom and dad!) Last weekend I found this at a garage sale and it's so cute I couldn't pass it up. I am guessing the set is from the 1920's. The chair has the Michigan label and the desk has the Denver Dry Goods label. I love the little glass cabinet with the round rick rack and the ball and claw feet are pretty cool too. The drawer has nice old fashioned dovetailing on each side. The wood is in pretty good shape, there is a few nicks to the laminates. I am supposed to sell the things I buy, I may have to keep this for a while. Or until I find my next favorite thing.
