This is an old Single Room School House near our Farm. Not sure what years it was used as a school -- but when it was closed down, the few people around it bought it to keep it there.

It was used again in the 1960's era for potluck suppers, get togethers, or the odd small dance by the owners and their families. I remember going to a few of these as a kid. But alas, it was used less and less. It is still there to be preserved, but has not been used for many, many years now.

Glad it is still there -- and was not torn down!!

This is just an old Picture of mine of this old School house.

@manikin -- it is out toward back home where some of your relatives are from as we talked about.

You can just SEE the history in it!!

oh yes.......to any of those bottle collectors.... they always say to find areas where old places like this are...........and find out where the *outdoor toilet* was as many a old bottle was throw down the hole.

So <....cough, cough...> there is good digging in the toilet areas soil, but it is something NOT for me!!!!

      PU.......LOL.

      I draw a line somewhere....

Thanks, it is an old photo I took a pic of. I had taken it years ago when I had my Pentax K - 1000. It is still there.....a passage in time, and part of my memories growing up.
