I found this at Volunteers of America today. I was a little unsure at first glance if this was a print or not. but once I got it home I took a closer look. I noticed that hidden almost by the edge of the frame in the corner it says "Reproduction Rights Reserved F.I.A."(French Institute of Art ?) and the other corner has "Hand Printed in France". You have to tilt the picture in order to actually read it. I didn't see a date but it could be farther down hidden by the frame. It looks anywhere from the 50's to the 60's judging by the stylized figure's clothes. I had hoped it was a real watercolor or gouache painting but it does have a hand screened look. Maybe that's what hand printed means but I'm not sure. Nice muted colors of pink and grey in a birch off white frame with a thin black accent line. Not sure of the artist's signature maybe Lorin ? There is a label on the back from "Strong's Art Shop Pictures and Framing" here in Cleveland. -Mike-
Maybe Levin?
